Please enjoy today’s installment of Short Attention Span Sunday: Most of the fun links are reader contributions. If you come across an unusual, funny or fascinating video, podcast or website please let me know. I would love to include your find in a future round up.
And now…Short Attention Span Sunday for July eighth, twenty-o-twelve•I can’t think of a better way to invert productivity than this site: Virtual Bubble Wrap. Truly?
•I know we’re adults but what adult doesn’t love a puppet teaching them things like “Anchor Text HTML?” Topics that might otherwise cause panic or mental glazing are fun and somehow more understandable when a yellow puppet explains them. Thanks Michelle Shaeffer, this is like Sesame Street for adults!
•I hurt myself trying to read aloud from “Damn You Auto Correct.” People submit their iPhone text messages that have turned wrong. Very, very wrong! Adult content note: Some of these are crass, I wish they weren’t because many others are crazy funny.
•And lastly, thank you to Laura Garrison, this is beautiful. Check out this sculpture “Kinetic Rain” installed at Terminal 1 of Changi Airport in Singapore. Created by the Berlin firm ART+COM.
What interesting things have distracted you lately?
NOTE: My editor, Eileen, wrote “A black bear in my back yard” in response to the above question.
